APM is one of Datadog's core products. Every trace sent by customers flows through what the team builds. Shipped a change to the trace ingestion pipeline that cut processing latency. NYC in the fall and the intern program runs year-round.
Different team than the Agent side but same ownership model. Worked on internal observability tooling that the engineering org itself uses, so you get to see Datadog engineers actually using what you built. The NYC office has a good energy and the intern class was solid.
High ownership from the start. Code I wrote is now running in prod at companies way bigger than me, which is still kind of wild to think about. NYC office is nice, intern program is well run, and they were upfront about the return offer process which I appreciated.
