Microsoft design has come a long way. Fluent Design System is actually a well-thought-out design system and working within it is different from consumer design in an interesting way. Enterprise UX constraints are real and force you to think about problems you wouldn't encounter at a consumer company. Redmond campus is huge, intern class is massive.
Well-structured PM internship with clear deliverables from day one and a dedicated PM mentor assigned to me. Vancouver office is nice and the team was welcoming. Good option if you're coming from an engineering background and want to try the PM track.
Best work-life balance of any internship I've done. Got to work on AKS features that real enterprises use which felt meaningful. My manager actually cared about my growth, checked in regularly and gave real feedback, not just "you're doing great."
